ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Lyn Stanley takes American Songbook classics and reinvents them with her super arrangements, musicians, fresh phrasing and sultry vocals. She's one of CD Baby's TOP SELLERS for ALL FIVE of her releases and considered one of the "outstanding" jazz vocalists today with a unique beautiful sound and voice with an excellent low to high range. This CD two disc set has the full 26 songs from 2017 The Moonlight Sessions Project. Engineered by Al Schmitt, Steve Genewick (Volumes One and Two) and Michael Bishop (mix on Volume One only) and recorded at Capitol Recording Studio, The Village Recorder and LAFx in Hollywood California. Pianists include Mike Garson (David Bowie), Christian Jacob (Tierney Sutton Band) and Tamir Hendelman (Barbra Streisand & Jeff Hamilton Trio). Bass: Chuck Berghofer; Drums: Joe LaBarbera (Bill Evans), Bernie Dresel and Ray Brinker. Percussion: Luis Conte. Soloists include Chuck Findley, Bob McChesney, Rickey Woodard, Hendrik Meurkens, Corky Hale, Carol Robbins and the Budapest Scoring Symphonic Orchestra.

“THIS (Volume One) IS ONE OF THE HOTTEST NEW CDS OF THE YEAR. WE HAVE ALREADY ASSIGNED MULTIPLE TRACKS FOR IMMEDIATE ROTATION-WITH YOUR VOICE AND STYLE AND THESE ICONIC SONGS- THIS HAD TO BE A HUGH HIT!”-KKJz-88.1 FM Los Angeles’ largest jazz station.

“nothing but the best musicians out there (with names such as Mike Garson and Rickey Woodard to name a few) and you have one hell of a record with Lyn singing classics like My Funny Valentine and Crazy.”—Part-Time Audiophile
