Album Notes
Old Waves is Luke Gard's debut album. This album consists of songs written over several years, carefully arranged to contain melodies and chords that will let your mind wander while engaging your musical ear. Luke is excited to share his debut album with listeners and grateful for their participation in the journey of these songs.

"Out of the Storm" starts the album out with a robust picking arrangement which continues through "Twenty-Five." The songs that follow move into fingerstyle arrangements. These songs take inspiration from numerous genres such as folk, bluegrass, and blues. "Awaiting" transitions the album into quiet, contemplative songs with "Farewell" waltzing the album to a close.

Fingerstyle guitarist, Doug Young, mixed and mastered the album. Doug's participation in this project was crucial to giving the rough tracks new life and allowing the album to have studio-grade audio quality.

"Very nice... Luke puts the music before the guitar playing, choosing tempos to serve the music, not the ego, not hiding behind over the top technique." -Eric Skye
"Well-defined, clear, and clean! Very nice indeed." -Scott Elliott, Elliott Capos
