SICK! Empires and Milk, Masters and Slaves...
Stumbled upon it myself, & was blown away! The concept is real. Listening to it was like reading a script, from act 1, act 2, and so on... Good work Loren Dent. I always say people might not completely get it now... but they will one day get it. Peace.

It's about ambient texture and sparse, cold, metallic sounds warping into ambient stretches. Empires and Milk is a soundscape album that doesn't lean toward the synthy pitfalls that can make the genre easy to dismiss. Instrumental but alive, the atmosphere slowly spirals around vague rhythmic references, even using acoustic instruments to create lulling loops that augment the glazed tones that hover below, lacquered in the color of the Arctic. In a way, I feel like most words I could use to describe the album have too much vigor to adequately catch the desolate emotions involved here. I can't say it's lifeless, because there's life under that there ice, but I can say I've never been as moved by an album quite this bleak... the kind of album that is so overtly emotional that one almost HAS to be disconnected in order to make it all the way though. It'll mess with your mind when you're quiet, it'll add to the frenzy when you're not.

excells in your wistful unknown senses
... distance, in your hands, longing expectancy, electricity appears closer then further pulling me with and away. Descriptions don't work on this kind of realism in expression. Speaks for itself. Beautiful must-hear work.
