Album Notes
Map of Chimes:

A study in urban field recording and instrument modification that resulted in a hypnotic and lush sound aesthetic. The music is modal and richly textured but the composition is dynamic.

Bonus Tracks:

The original harp instrumentation featured in Metal Bean
Some of the field recordings used in this piece and in the composer\'s other work (Map of Chimes) without any processing or effects:
* Frogs singing in Oaks Wildlife Refuge
* Ice Melting
* Winter chimes in a snowy Hudson Valley landscape

These are meditative, unique musical selections from an artist who appreciates the diversity of sonic beauty.

John Bishop

Metal Bean
This piece starts out pretty intense with a lot of low end, and after awhile it feels like a peaceful visit to a wrathful deity. Really gives you a good feeling when your sitting in a comfortable chair with a dog on your lap.
