Album Notes
Jeff Landeen is a Canadian singer-songwriter spying from the passenger seat, one who reaches for the wheel only when leaving town. With a ticket in one pocket, the other spills over with spirited loners and the likes of those encountered along the off-beaten path.

Toting his guitar through mountain passes, desert roads and the thick mazes of human habitation, Jeff has been scribbling down words and teasing out songs for over a decade. Capturing a rare combination of indie-driven folk and acoustic music, Jeff Landeen’s songs embody motion and cast light into the corners.

Jeff had an early start in music. His father was front man of a 70’s band known as ‘The Gathering’. More than likely, it was on trips to his father’s gigs with that rusty Volvo’s eight track, where music first claimed Jeff. He began singing to the scratch of a record player before those etched height marks even reached the closet door handle.
Inspired at 15 in a chance encounter with a guitar-wielding traveler, who spun musical yarns that fascinated the young onlooker, Jeff’s plans underwent a rapid change in trajectory. With guitar in hand Jeff hitched enough rides abroad to span the width of Canada 3 times over. He sang in coffee houses and train stations and once played a gig in a Malaysian Rasta bar using an upside down wooden box for a stage.

After nearly a decade of post high school bands, sojourns abroad, odd jobs and more gigs in shoe-box venues than one could shake a proverbial stick at, year 2000 witnessed Landeen emerge as an inspired, fledgling ‘solo’ artist. Skip forward to a sold out, November 2006 CD Release at Calgary's Liberty Lounge and also an invitation to join the Alberta Songwriting Sessions 2007 and the trip keeps getting better.
Jeff looks forward to taking to the open road again, but this time with his newly released album Glide in hand.

And maybe that’s how the hunger starts… Somewhere along a stretch of road a singer makes you grin, laugh, or bleed through the dashboard speakers of a car you’re not driving...
