As one of the forefathers of the Bay area sound known as hyphy, Krushadelic has long been tapped into the musical pulse of the world.
His up-tempo beats, combined with his image, has been the textbook for the new generation of underground music - from the US, to Japan, to Germany and the rest of the planet. With his new album, Ghost Rider, he is proving once and for all that he remains a force with which to be reckoned.
After bursting onto the scene at the tender age of 12, Krushadelic learned early on that the marriage of the artist and the businessman is one with staying power. Starting out in the ’90s as one half of West Oakland’s first group, UnderGround Rebellion, Krushadelic quickly took on other roles - an executive and creative force.
As an emcee, he has shared the stage with Scarface, the late Notorious BIG, Bone Thugs ‘n Harmony, Wu-Tang and more. As CEO of Armada Entertainment, Krushadelic has been the talent and brains behind 25 projects. As a producer, he has worked the boards for such artists as Ray J, Too Short, E40 and the Ying Yang Twins.
With his latest effort, Krushadelic follows in the same tradition of excellence. Taking its name from the west coast trend that has been popularized by hyphy culture, Ghost Rider features an array of talented artists including Ray J, Too Short, Keak Da Sneak, Mistah F.A.B., Andre Nickatina and R&B legend, Chaka Khan. The first single,“Ready, Set, Go,“ was produced by Krushadelic himself.
Hard work, ingenuity and a little hustle have made Krushadelic, and in turn, Ghost Rider, the hottest commodity in the Bay and beyond.
