Album Notes
Before there was the half hour info-commercial of which started to come in the 1980's as cable television became more and more affordable and as a result more and more popular, companies would advertise through short time length commercials. These commercials ran as 15 or 60 minute advertisements. One of the common techniques of doing pitch selling was recording format called A/B rolling between tracks, to give a product, that would otherwise be boring, an exciting stimulus to it for the listener to get attracted to. This was done to help the potential buyer to make an excited buying decision concerning the product being promoted by the marketing company that was being paid to sell the product for the manufacturer.

These days, the western medical establishment has been under fire with many lawsuits over the past 20 years due to constant and steady medical malpractice and misdiagnosis. Many new drugs have ended in disaster usually killing a few hundred thousand people before it is pulled off out of the market. Seems I was a head of my time when I made this spoof on the medical industry some 30 years ago.

This short, but clover comedy skit is sure to make you laugh, unless you have a vendetta against the western medical doctors for something they did to your life you might hate them for. Otherwise, this was merely intended as a spoof or gag commercial on the industry. Given the complexities of modern medicine these days, I would not take this skit too seriously for it was intended to be a humorous poke at the ostentatious medical industry of the day.

The premise of this comedy skit assumes that if medical science can get you well so quickly, then they should be able to get you just as sick in less than 10 minutes with a new prescription product called "Heave Ho!". What a great product when you need to take time off from work, school or just want to get out of a family outing you absolutely do not want to attend. This format is a salute to the format of a form of advertising that is no longer used in mainstream television, but is still used on most radio stations in the major cities. So put on your sense of humor cap when you purchase a copy of this spoof on the medical industry.
