ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Julie began her yoga practice with June LaSalvia in Nashville, TN and has deepened her own practice and teaching from the guidance of many teachers, the most influential being Erich Schiffmann. In 1985 she began working with Chung-liang Al Huang in T’ai ji, and continued her study with Cielle Tewksbury.

Her focus in the Healing Arts includes therapeutic massage, art therapy, and most recently Breema®. As a Breema Practitioner, she provides private treatments and integrates Self-Breema exercises into her classes.

In 1989 she created The Painting Journal™, a visual process for accessing and affirming one’s own life. She continues to conduct painting journal workshops in homes and retreat centers.

Julie received her B.S. in Education from Wheelock College and an M.A. in Art from Peabody College in Nashville. She founded and directed “The Center”, a school for pottery, arts and crafts, in 1977. Her enthusiastic and warm teaching style provides an atmosphere of acceptance and makes learning a joy for her students of all ages. Julie incorporates her New England upbringing into the lush green of Tennessee where she has lived, raised three children, and taught from the early 1960’s.

When I can't go to class this is an inspiring way to hear Julie's voice and keep my own yoga practice alive and vibrant. Wish she would do more!

Beautiful Yoga
Julie was my first yoga teacher and remains with me regularly through this CD. I now live too far from her to take her classes but her incredibly powerful CD session leaves me regularly with a beautiful feeling each time. Although I prefer my yoga in meditative silence, this CD has a lovely track backing up the instructions that invigorate and calm in the right moments (including a particularly powerful Savasana). It\'s not as good as being with Julie in person, but it sure is close. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good, whole-body yoga session and anyone who wants to find out what that means for their body and soul.

Rejuvenation II
Julie\'s combination of meditation, Breema and Yoga truly helps to achieve rejuvenation with this CD - as with all of her classes. I\'ve found this to be helpful in continuing my yoga practice when unable to attend in person. Highly recommended!!!
