ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
We've had some great reviews and sure there will be a few songs you'll enjoy. Yes our music is dated but 60's and 70's are our influence. Some of our reviews below.

Take it easy on me

“As soon as the song began, I started smiling. It sounded so folk-like. It reminded me of something Bob Dylan would have as his instrumental. Then, as the song progressed it sounded more country than folk, which made me smile even more. Once I got passed deciding what genre this may fall under I began to focus more on the voice. His voice is so soothing and I fell in love with it. It sounds like something that is already on the radio. Which tells me, in my opinion, that this could easily be a hit commercially. The lyrics are meaningful which makes me fall in love with it even more. I would not hesitate to download this song. It would definitely be replayed over and over again on my ITunes. That's for sure!”

“Pleasant sounding ballad. Like the whispery but deep sound of the lead vocal. He's also got a somewhat coarse edge to his tone. The background vocals are a good touch. The melody does have a nice hook and likeable lyrics. The instrumentals have a well rounded fullness to them.”

“The singer has an excellent voice kind of like Bob Dylan's son in the Wallflowers .. the simple arrangement adds beauty to the production .. the song has an awesome melody and forward thinking lyrics .. it's very poetic songwriting I luv the chorus I mostly luv the lyrical storytelling and how it flows perfectly with the melodic production .. the song sounds like it could be a hit in several formats including adult alternative, adult contemporary and smooth jazz .. it's a very soulfully powerful song with an EZ to luv hook.”

Trip with me

“Ahhh, piano. A very refreshing and calming piece. The vocals are original and raspy, while the lyrics are not very original or interesting. When the chorus was played for the first time I was almost reminded of Ryan Adams, but a more bright sound. It was great to hear an organ busting out during the chorus. This sound has a great, catchy sound at the same time that it is melancholy and powerful.”

“An uplifting initial piano burst glides into gorgeously gravelly and earnest vocals. The ease of the lyrics is perfectly matched sonically, in a track that flows dreamily along, with euphorically steady drumming and a massive rise of a chorus. There's a touch of a poppier Mark Oliver Everett at his best in the vocal style and overall this bitter-sweet, Sunday afternoon track ticks all the right boxes. By the time the guitar solo flashes in, you're more than hooked - invoking reminiscent emotions alongside a renewed optimism that surges during the final moments.”

“I like the harmonica intro. The minor key played by the guitar is interesting to listen to. At first, the vocalist sounds like he's half talking and half singing. But, once the chorus comes along, he breaks out and starts full-on singing. As I continue to listen, the song is growing on me. The song is very well put-together. I can appreciate and respect the artist due to the passion I hear being translated through his music. Overall, a pretty good song.”

Thats why I'm still in love with you.

“I enjoyed the gentle and calming strums of guitar in this song's introduction. It created a lovely peaceful escape from my busy day and I really enjoyed the sense of calm that this song produced. The vocals were also strong and just as calming as the music. The vocalist was emphatic and put a lot of meaning to the lyrics. The beat of this composition was uplifting and so peaceful. It felt like a meditation session with a country twist. I really enjoyed listening to this song as it was a extremely calming.”

“I love the acoustic guitar in the intro. It's one of my favorite ways to start a song. I have to say, I wasn't expecting such a low voice, but the vocalist is really great. I love when the vocalist gets more into his upper range. It's a lot more energetic and enthusiastic. Also, the background vocals going "ahhh" are a great touch! Nice harmonies with the female vocalist every once in a while. The other instruments in the background (drums, etc.) blend very well. I love the instrumental break where the electric guitar has a solo. Great solo. Overall, such a fun song and great melody, voice, etc.”

I'm not ready to go

“The way the song started out caught me by surprise. I am having trouble figuring what genre this song fits into. The music has some aspects of Country. The singing is more pop. So I am confused on this. Whatever it fits into I found the vocals to have a really good flow to it. Very upbeat and grabbed my attention. The melody was sure and had a lot of pep. It has good commercial ability for success.”

“what caught my attention about this track initially was the tone of the artist. he sounds very much like a younger billy idol to me, he had a great vocal melody that sounded well with the chorus he was singing with. the beat of this track was also well varied. this whole song was catchy, simple and easy on the ears.”

“I have to say, I love the lyrics to this one. They grabbed me right away and really made me listen throughout the song. The melody is really catchy. Love the guitar, and while the singer's voice doesn't seem remarkable, he did decent work here. I really enjoyed this song, and I'd buy it.”

Big Blue Heart

“Heart breaking song. The lyrics "can you save my broken heart." nice! For someone going through a break up I can see this song as a dedication song on the radio. Great melody, makes you want to shed a tear or two. "take me as I am" great lyrics. I most definitely loved this song. top 10 hit”

“Already the beginning of this song is well produced. Those vocals, those vocals are so smooth and sexy. I like the way you use what you have got and make it your own. The drums are well recorded. The bass is a little low in this, but that is compensated by the perfect timing that your band has. The piano is warm and well played. What I need is more of this band to listen to. Engineered with precise decision. The backing vocals are layered so perfectly, and the tone of all the singers makes this a beautiful song.”

“Sexy, Husky voice that just sounds fab. The music complements his voice just perfect. I would definitely buy this and recommend. Just very relaxing to listen to and the lyrics easy to sing-along to. Well done Johnny.”
