You Will Dance The Day & Night Away!
When I was a young girl, I used to hide in my bedroom and dance to my parents’ records from the 1930‘s. Little did I know then, I would one day be fortunate enough to dance to Johnny Crawford’s Orchestra performing the songs of that era live. The moment I began listening to this beautifully remastered collection, I was transported to a bygone era where music filled the ballrooms and poured out onto the streets. "Sweepin' The Clouds Away" is sublime, all the way around. The songs are masterfully recorded and positively dreamy, recreating the actual experience of Johnny's live performances to a tee. This is a must for both aficionados and neophytes of this treasured musical epoch.

Sweepin' the Clouds Away
I loved this CD - the band is tight, the style is authentic. I only wish Jonny Crawford and his band would come to Chicago so I could hear them live!

Sweepin' us back
What a wonderful collection, Mr. Crawford! Although I was born in the early '50s, I have always loved music from the '20s, '30s, and '40s. Your album takes me to a happy place of peaceful, happy, REAL music! I love it, and have been playing it over and over. I suggested it to my uncle who bought a copy and also loves it. This album is terrific!

Sweepin the Clouds Away
This album is magical! Johnny Crawford had a beautiful unique voice in the 60's and continues to have a special charm. I was thrilled as I listened to each song.
This album warms my heart! Thank you!

Sweepin' the Clouds Away
What a great CD! Been waitin' a long time for this one. Hope you have a follow-up in the near future. Love the CD title song! Bring the band to Boston!

Son of the Rifleman
Johnny had five Billboard Top 40 hits in the early 60's, and was one of the original Mouseketeers, but is probably best remembered for his 168 episodes as Mark McCain, son of The Rifleman (played by the late great Chuck Connors). Johnny's Dance Orchestra has been sponsored by the Playboy Jazz Festival; and has been the repeated choice for 15 consecutive annual Art Directors Guild Awards shows at the Beverly Hilton, in Beverly Hills. He's a serious artist, with a terrific voice, hard-earned skill, and an excellent orchestra behind him.

Better Buy Two
...one to keep and one to give as a gift! The songs on this CD are infectious, and you'll want to share them. I'm still a novice when it comes to this style of music and the dance band era, so this CD is a great introduction. All the tracks are great, and the title song is a special favorite.

Sweeping the Clouds Away Takes You Back...
To a time when Glamor was fashonable and music was the entertainment of the era. Close you eyes while you listen to Johnny's smooth voice and you can almost hear the tinkle of the crystal in the supper clubs of days gone by. He has returned to an authentic sound of othe past greats and makes us remember that this is music. You will truely enjoy Johnny's offering of each and every fine tune on this disc. I have shared this with so many of my friends, they are all eagerly waiting for more....
