Unwholesome good fun
Got this album because of Armrest Assholes. Was not disappointed, definitely recommend if you're up for a laugh.
And I don't like rotten seaweed.

A huge and hilarious surprise for longtime Joe fans!
I have all of Joe's albums except for Hats On! and the Salvage collection of demos. I'm a big fan. I know Joe for making good, diverse music in all sorts of styles, from cute fun to quiet and emotional to big and epic.

So imagine my enormous surprise when I listened to this record only to find that it's a collection of almost entirely raunchy comedy songs! I did NOT see this album coming, and holy hell did it knock me on my ass laughing the whole way. The music here is legitimately well-written and has the added bonus of being super in-your-face with raw, honest, "don't give a shit if you like this or not" attitude. I love this record.

My only complaint is that it's clear Joe got a little lazy with some of the finer points of writing and recording on this record, because a keen ear will notice that he just copied and pasted one recorded vocal performance of repeated sections instead of singing them all individually for recording. In some cases he even repeats verses instead of making each verse in a song different, and the same vocal take is just copied and pasted. It really hurts the songs he does it on, which is especially painful in instances where the song is otherwise absolutely fantastic, like on the opening track Plot or Flat. If not for this laziness, the record would be perfect.
