Album Notes
Jane's music comes out of living within a fabulous folk community where people jam together and try out new lyric or chord ideas. She writes songs that lock in a new tidbit of theory she's learning, and she's willing to move into new styles and structures as her brain is stretched by those around her. Feather and Stone is Jane's second album of (mostly) original music--her first, Breathing August is also available on CDBaby. All her tunes and songs celebrate the masterful teasing it takes to raise a family and stoke a marriage in fun, in breakfast silliness, in genuine love; her songs reflect on resilience, relationships, story and assisted dying.
