ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jackslacks is a truly a Rock and Roll Dinosaur. However, maybe you should start by reading Jackslacks' bio "The Curse of Rockabilly" to better understand the anthology of rock 'n' roll drummer and singer Chris Giorgio.
Jackslacks very first solo album, "Dinosaur" is a fine collection of rockabilly and rock 'n' roll music, based on the original 1950's and 1960's sound, with influences from the revved-up rockabilly revival scene of the 1980s.
The quality line-up of musicians who appear with Jackslacks on this record include guitarists Tommy Byrnes, Buzz Campbell, Johnny Mercury and Bill Giorgio, upright bassists Billy Bacon, Johnny d'Artenay and others. Credit the ace studio production to Stray Cat Lee Rocker. A Shield Of Love Production (SOL-1).
The energetic songs on "Dinosaur" are both unique and original but mostly - fun to listen to. Foot tapping music! Any way you look at it (or listen to it), this platter offers a wide variety of sounds and rhythms ranging from the aforementioned rockabilly and rock 'n' roll to blues, country, cajun and merseybeat. An outstanding addition to any collection.

Neo-rockabilly with a twist!
After listening to this CD for about the 10th time in a row, I've come to the conclusion that Jackslacks and some of his old bandmates really know what they are doing. I recognized some of the players (Buzz from Hot Rod Lincoln, Tommy Byrnes from Billy Joel). Former Stray Cat slap bassist Lee Rocker produced many of the songs. I would recommend it to my friends because it crosses over with some early Beatles sounds and even has some Doug Salm sounding Tex-Mex.

Rocka-rocka-billy, groovin' boogie-woogie and slammin' 50's R & R!
This CD has a constant theme, that is, my foot was tapping from the 1rst track to the last. I really appreciate the diversity of the rock and roll here. Track 2 (Bank Account's Too Small) a classic Carl Perkins sounding ditty. Baja Baby, a kind of Chuck Berry meets Doug Salm and Too Much Fun definitely a late 50's straight ahead jam.
