ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This CD of Dixieland Music captures the wild side of the genre. The Hot Java Band is at home playing seedy bars in South East Florida. This aint no smooth jazz.
Most of this was recorded live at Audacity Recording Studios (audacityrecording.com) in Hollywood, Florida. The Hot Java Band (Dixieland Edition) gathered one Sunday afternoon and laid down the tracks. It went so smoothly that we only made three tracks of each song. In fact, our trombone player, Dede Brisco (t-bonetime.com) had never met us before, we asked her if she would like to join us, being the brave soul she is, she arrived and knocked us all out. Chaim Rubinov on trumpet, John Hollis on clarinet, Ken Moorehead on tuba, Dan McGrath - vocals and banjo, Ted Strauss - vocals and guitar, Ed Horowitz - fiddle and mandolin, Bill Gearhiser - bass guitar, and of course...
the heart and soul of the Hot Java Band........ John J Martyn - drums and most importantly ....... editing the whole mess after the recording.
