ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Telling stories through song - I hope to take you to the land in full colour. I've been working mostly in black & white but now I have tools to show you exactly how I feel.

Music is life for me. Whenever it leaves me I wander, lost in a hellsphere of brainfog. Luckily, it always comes back with a sack full of ways I'd not looked at things - bringing me a new perspective and with it new characters to sing about.

My first band was called ExploiT.V. I was 16. I learned a lot from that band. I learned that if I'm going to scream I have to do it right.

My second band was called Veil. I took a bunch of my songs and got together with all my metalhead friends and we made a band. Our first album was called Xe which was released under my own label, Nervous Relatives Records. We pressed 1k copies. I still have a few.

Veil became HUMANWINE.

HUMANWINE was going to be Veil's 2nd album's name. It was easier to change the name to a made up anagram because when I typed it into a search engine; not a thing came up and when you search Veil about a trillion pages pop up.

HUMANWINE made a demo called "for burning cities present"

an EP called "Rivolta Silenziosa EP"

"Fighting Naked" LP

an EP called "Mass Exodus EP"

"Mass Exodus" LP

ANNND it the spirit of a mass exodus I would then retreat deep into the woods to be with silence.
for a very
very
very
long
time.

Until...
It was time to create music on tape again. not just playing it for the trees, bear, fox, hare, deer, moose and whomever happened to be in my vicinity around a fire-pit or on my schoolbus.

It was time to put out more music.
That's when the birth of a Mega-Album called, "æther" happened. It consisted of 4 albums -
"terra",
"ær",
"aqua" &
"ignis".
40 songs inside of a cork in a glass bottle (with a riddle to solve on a piece of paper inside the bottle)

AND if that wasn't enough we went ahead and created an Album Companion Artbook called
"c0dex".

60 full colour pages dripping with original art and lyrics along with information about each sub-album, the alchemy within each element and patron supporters page complete with a dedication to fern, my beloved who passed mid recording session.

Somewhere in there I started another band called, The Folks Below. All the songs took place in "Vinland" (where HUMANWINE sings about) but they took a slightly more personal tone.

I'm still half in the woods and half out of the woods.
My mind can breathe.

I'm working on a new record for release August 2019.

Thank you for begin here with me.
