Album Notes
Grubby Paws was formulated in early 2010 by singer/songwriter Ian Reiter as a solo project and departure from many years in the heavy music scene. Over the majority of the last decade, Grubby Paws has evolved into an eclectic mix of rock, grunge, post hardcore and emo with the most important evolution being a solidified band line-up. With emotionally charged lyrics about life, death, loss and uncomfortably honest looks into mental health, the music is a representation of seasoned musicians laying it completely bare for the world to hear. Drummer, Jake Murphy, and bassist, Jimmy Huffman, provide an extremely articulate and driving rhythm section while lead guitarist, Eric Van Horn, and noise artist, Nick Stevens, ride along with soundscape exploration that can only be referred to as audio paintings. Grubby Paws hopes to connect with every listener, giving them the paint brushes to someday figure out the big picture together.
