Album Notes
Music has been the most powerful force driving my motivation for life, equivalent to the power of pure unconditional love. The ability to share story, release emotions, evoke movement, expand perspectives, and build community ear by ear is my inspiration for the sounds I create. A lot of my influence comes from the music I was raised on which was a lot of soul, funk, disco, old school R&B, and folk. My interest lies not so much in a genres, but in the vulnerable honesty and healing capabilities of self expression. The rawness of myself and my journey is what I always strive to capture in my music regardless of the type of song, the way women like Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, BANKS, FKA Twigs, and Erykah Badu (just to name a few) have.

Music is definitely my gateway into the dream realm, so I think that’s why a lot of my music tends to be atmospheric, ambient, and spacey. My form for song writing is keep it as formless and fluid as it wants to be. I hope to be the kind of female artist that pushes people so far out of their comfort zone they have no choice, but to expand outside of time and space. Music to me is a platform to not just tell my own story, but to tell the many stories needing to be heard by those who can not tell them the way music can. I create for all my relation.
