Album Notes
My music began as a child back in Brooklyn, USA. My parents were soul freaks and I often banged on the cabinets to James Brown's "Funky Drummer" as my pop danced around my mom, trying to soothe her. Music was always in me and I wanted so bad to be a vessel to create great songs. But, I had no talent for it, other than being able to DJ or combine sounds. I couldn't sing. Couldn't dance. Was too impatient to learn an instrument. So I stood aside to let others with talent do their thing. I'd merely guide or do something else.

There's a quote attributed to Mandela but supposedly originates with Marian Williamson. It reads:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

So, here it is my people--my take on this existence. No, I'm not even close to all of the wonderful singers, musicians, writers, nor producers. However, I am, through a life long struggle against it--an artist.

I thank you for your support and time in this endeavor, and I hope that what I shared connects us in a very kindred way. If you get what I'm saying in my lyrics, then you and I are possibly...soul mates...

Strong lyrics. Great tracks. Very intense and smart. I love the creative use of sound with the verses. I can tell he's not trying to fake being a polished singer and that makes me dig the voice as a part of the entire work. Earth to momma wad tough because my momma's ill. Set Me Free...damn. Really smooth.
