Album Notes
Enter ‘The Rollin’ Gypsies’. After the release of the album “Rollin’ Gypsies” and the addition of then guest drummer Dead Ed, Mvclassic decided a full band was necessary to fully communicate his present music live. Thus was born, Mvclassic and The Rollin’ Gypsies. “The name stems not only from the first album, but kind of as a joke about the early lineup issues of band members rolling in and rolling out.” adds Vetere. After finding bass player Chris Shanafelt, who Vetere describes as “the missing puzzle piece”, Mvclassic and the Rollin’ Gypsies went back into the studio to cut a follow up record with their new lineup and newly evolved sound. The follow up album, “The Funkbots vs. The Lovesnails” due out in March of 2011 is “Harder hitting and much more musically interesting”, says Vetere, “…but it’s still the same mvclassic, with the same running jokes with our fans…and that same ‘can party’ attitude.”
