Album Notes
"The Big Picture" is the band's third full length album & most sophisticated album to date. Carefully named to represent the entire collection of songs and to capture the whole album's theme. Both Josh (guitar, piano, vocals, percussion, bass, all around musical man) and Katie (lead singer, flute, guitar) have poured their hearts out lyrically here for everyone to see. Emotions come out bare naked and exposed yet again, but in an even more honest and vulnerable way. Have you ever wondered what someone was thinking or feeling about their past? About their future? For Josh & Katie you can look no further. This album is almost a daily journal style compilation of lyrics showcased amongst a beautiful backdrop of sound. Katie features a new instrument on two of the tracks, the flute. Which she all of a sudden whipped out of nowhere to begin playing and bouncing around tracks like a bird finding it's wings. The album gives the listener a touch of many genres, including; rock, country, folk, alternative & soul. As in the past, with their last releases there is still something for everyone on this new album. However they have certainly honed in on their true character & vibe. It's all things dreamy, always positive even when it seems lyrically unbearable, fun, fast paced and thoughtfully unique. Fresh Breath shows up with empathy, passion, and proverbial chops. The Big Picture represents a life of gratitude, awareness, realizations & love.
