Album Notes
Flowalition has been together since 1996. Marz & Briz met while in High School and have been recording music together ever since. Flowalition has opened for such acts as Nas, Immortal Technique, Gza & R.A. the Rugged Man to name a few. Their sound is very dark with complicated rhymes and song structure. Their debut album "13 Days" was released July 10th 2007.

Hip Hop - Rap: Under The Lights - Flowalition - Just the Beginning Saturday, November 01, 2008 | by Nicole Cormier, Colorado Music Buzz.

Doesn’t it seem like when everything is going great something comes up and throws a wrench in your game? Well that is Boulder hip-hop duo, Flowalition’s story, but both these local soldiers won’t let a little bad luck stop their mission of making real and honest hip-hop. Marz and Briz Ill met in high school in 1996, and together created Flowalition with their ambition of creating gritty yet intelligent underground music. They started battling and freestyling at parties as teenagers, and haven’t stopped yet. They have opened for many legendary MC’s such as Nas, Immortal Technique and GZA and helped Boulder’s scene become a thriving hip-hop community. Recently Marz has found himself in a bit of trouble, which has required Flowalition to take a temporary hiatus. Briz is holding it down for the pair and is feverishly working on completing Marz’s solo album and the sophomore Flowalition album. Briz has found support in the local community and has teamed up with Uneek MC while awaiting Marz’s release, and they are experimenting with new styles and techniques. I recently found out about Flowalition at a show at Herman’s Hideaway and noticed Briz’s considerable talent. Sporting a “Free Marz” shirt, my interest was piqued in this local story that is nowhere near finished. Marz and Briz are what I would call raw, both in voice and lyrics. They rap about real issues, and reflect their influences, namely Wu Tang. The obvious commitment that Briz shows to Flowalition is admirable and I have no doubt that once Marz can rejoin the team that they will have many doors open up for them. This story doesn’t end here and I look forward to writing about Flowalition’s success in the future. Colorado Music Buzz April 2009.

Search and destroy engage we deploy
Roadside bombs blow up your convoy
RPG’s, fatigues, submarines in 7 seas
Blowing up like Jihad until I live with
Heaven’s thieves
Ironically high off chronic be the gods
Smoked out in ciphers like inhaling exhaust
When I beat you in a battle just give me my props
Avoid the beast in the streets son dodge the cops
Extortion runs rampant through out the black market
Son when I get zooted I just attack targets
I got a Glock 40 up in my back pocket
Flowalition linked with Black P and
Then we fucking locked it fully automatic
Just pull the fucking Trigga
And I'm hold you down and watch the rep get bigger
Spraying at random like Krylon stains walls
Blood up on the streets and RIP on the stalls
Step to my crew fucker if you got the balls
Break your kneecaps
Dogs chase you when you crawl
Away cuz today is the day you must die
Sleep with the enemy living life as a spy
life is a mystery in the end you die
no chance for hope or explanation of why
Flowalition be the truth yo and that ain’t no lie
Flowalition be the truth yo and that ain’t no lie
