Fast Money Music

by Fast Money Music

A sensual drift peeking at love, sex, anger and desire, as if driving a city at night, without aim or pause. Heavy bass lines, beats and melodic keyboards create a minimalist atmosphere in which near spoken words vocals try to pull us in the back alley.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Fast Money Music" chases after nocturnal insights, in the not-so-savory alleys of the heart. Hidden feelings and hidden thoughts are exposed, their naked figures flashing in the glare of passing headlights. Tenderness trips into destructiveness and vice versa, in an electro-punkoid drift stripped to its bare parts. The city is here without being present, the night is here without being named. It's the poetics of an era without a goal, an ethic of choices made in the dark. Heavy bass lines hover through the album implicitly reminding that all of this is about to break down - while almost miraculously holding up. Seedy club-like beats contrast sharply with fragile as glass melodies, and life comes out spitting at the other end.

"Fast Money Music" is a duo born out of similarly shady beginnings. They say it all started with a thunderstorm and a wet cat. We won't know for sure. But what is certain is that the enigmatic pair is on to upset the balance of what is expected and determined to craft a way of its own.
