ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
On their new album WOODSTOCK!, bassist/composer Erik Applegate and TimeChild celebrate the music and spirit of the watershed festival which sees its 50th Anniversary this year.

A mix of original songs and reinterpretations of pieces performed that seminal weekend, the band traverses divergent emotional and stylistic terrain, blending jazz with folk, rock, and R&B. Always soulful and grooving, the band pays tribute to the transformative nature of the music that was performed at Woodstock. Following a loose story line of searchers who traveled to the event, the repertoire includes original takes on songs by Santana, Richie Havens, Sly and the Family Stone, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and others.
