ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Dutch Pink is a multi-dimensional trio that collides moments of loud, obnoxious, raunch rock and roll with a cultivated songwriting craftmanship. Endlessly involving themselves in a contamination of genres their music never fails to sustain both attitude and intellect. A political, blue-collared live show that reeks of the sex, booze, and angst of good days Detroit. They are not a garage rock band, but a sincere voice of both their discontent and the affirmation of music as power.

Detroit Is Changing
4 out of 5. The Detroit scene has changed, slowly, but this album helps. Not great. But good. Very good. Unlike Mike I have seen them live and they are the front runners for Detroit. They had a local festival drooling by the last song. The title song, which I've never seen live, has moments of contempt that rivals ani difranco. Don't miss out on Juliet. I don't know who sings with them, but she has it. The tunes are all authentic in a gut string way. All and all I hope there is more to come.

Nice change for Detroit
Quick Review...

Different than anything else going on in the Motor City right now, but not different then indie music any other place. I haven't seen them live, but they're growing a nice fanbase in Detroit. The album is what it is... indie rock that thinks its deeper then what appears to the average listener.
