Album Notes
Most people associate bankruptcy with failure or inability. We see it as a fresh start. Apply that to music in this day and age, and you get Bankrupt Records, an independent act composed of the DUO (brothers James G and JG) and longtime friend Big C. Established in 2005, the three artist have built their own platform to produce quality music and release it independently. Using creativity, complex wordplay, and their own brand of imagination, Bankrupt Records has created a sound that’s unique and provacative. The music is a mixture of real life emotion, cheap thrills, good times, and dark imagery. Double Vision is the DUO's first all studio release. Put it in your stereo, and prepare to have your mind blown.

Underground classic
What do you get when you mix the best unsigned talent with hopsin, lil wyte, bizzy bone, and royce da 5 9?? A masterpiece

Another masterpiece!
Where do I start? Just another great album. The Bankrupt Records camp, only grows better and better as the ascend thru the Underground independently. This Album is a follow up to Night vision, a darker, emotional album. Double Vision comes to wipe that all away, and give you something to Get up n Move to. This album, Loaded with guest features including, Lil Wyte, Bizzy Bone, Royce Da 5'9, Bizzarre of D-12, and Underground sensation, Hopsin. This album has songs for everything needed on a night out, you got a club song, you got a cruizin song, a smokin song, and a song to get you ass out your chair! So what you waiting for? Go click that download button now!

Best rap cd thus far in 2010
This album plays front to back with no skippers! Hot beats, kick ass lyrics, and something different than the norm. If you like underground rap music, or good rap in general...buy this cd. Something for everyone here.

double vision
This is one of those real slept on underground gems that only the real heads know about. Way before hopsin blew up, and before royce da 5'9" came back outta the dark with slaughterhouse, they were laying gems with these unsigned talents known as bankrupt records. Every song is unique and very well produced. If your a fan of underground hiphop or just looking for something fresh, this album is worth your time.

lotta good collabs

Duo - Double Vision Review
1. No Intro - What's this intro I keep hearing about? Just blaze like ya hear Duo doing and enjoy this stellar cd.

2. Furturistic Linguistics ft Windows By The Shore - Heard this track in the first stages of this cd and I loved it then and I love it now after it's been polished after being masterd. The hook is damn good with the singer from Windows By The Shore dropping his smooth vocals and James G and J.G. drop one hell of a sick track. Damn good track to start this trip through Double Vision.

3. No Stranger To Danger ft Bizzy Bone - I'm diggin this song. Bizzy brings his smooth quick flow too the hook and gives this track that added vibe to make this track that much better. Nice hard dark vibed track with lots of feeling and I'm sure a few of us can relate too. We've all befriended Danger and seen him more then a few times. I'm definatly No Stranger to Danger.

4. Grindin ft Big C - One of my favorite tracks off this cd. Damn good club joint aboot those beauties that swing on poles and dance on stage and give those wonderful lapdances at our favorite Gentlemans Clubs. Hook is definatly cetchy and can cetch yaself singing along. This is one of them tracks that you enjoy playin in the bedroom with ya Honey.

5. Sit Down - Very fast paced song that will make you nodd ya head or move along too the track. Also has a hook that gets stuck in ya head and makes ya wanna sing along. With everyone and their Mumma wanting to grab a mic and start recording. Duo brings you a track that shows you how it should be done and all the posers and fakes need to sit down along with the rest of the unorriginal artists.

6. What You Smoke ft Lil Wyte - I'm enjoying the beat too this song and it sounds one of them beats you'd hear Wyte use and drop some sickness on. This track is a lil too fast paced for a good smoking song but dont let that stop ya. This joint definatly rips it and Wyte brings the heat and matches pace with Duo and doesnt get too outshined by Duo. I've definatly had this song on a loop a few times. Just that damn good.

7. Can You Feel This - I like the piano and stringed instruments that are mixxed in this track. Definatly helps add and give that erie and depressed feeling. You know someone tweakin out and getting fucked up on hardcore drugs, how aboot someone that is a poser or bootlegger? Know anyone that is depressed? If ya do, this track will make you think of them and can relate. Can You Feel This?

8. The Ron Jeremy Call ft Ron Jeremy - Mr Big Dick himself calling up and leaving a message for Duo to go and hit up the town when he hits the ATL. Nice lead-in too the next track.

9. Everywhere We Go - I like the beat to this track. I could bump the instrumental to this all day. Just love the vibe. I love how J.G. and James G match their verses too the beat. Another one of them tracks that'll get stuck in ya head and you'll either be singing the hook or hummin the beat. Just one of them damn good tracks.

10. Get Em Up ft Royce Da 5'9", Sico, and Dj Guttamind - This is one of them tracks that you listen too and enjoy from the start. From the smooth beat too all the solid lyrics. Everyone was on point and brought their A game. Sico out did himself here and brought his best verse i've heard yet. Duo definatly shows why they're becomming heavy hitters in the Wu and Underground. Royce would be happy to have this track on any of his disc's.

11. Whatcha Know? - I love the Banjo that is used in this beat. This was also on the Gods N Generals Mixtape and it was also the single to help preview the mixtape. I heard it then and loved it and still do. By far one of my alltime favs from Duo/Bandrupt and one of them tracks I put on repeat a few times before I move on to the next track.

12. The Anthem ft Big C - Lovin this new version of The Anthem. Enjoyin the tweaks to the beat and the added affects too the hook. Always one of my fav songs and this one is by far the best version. You want a song that'll make people want to move, put this track on and crank the volume and watch the asses start shakin.

13. Shock Em ft Bizarre of D12 - The beat too this track is a bit out there but I love how everyone just kills it. Bizarre is his usual oddball self and drops a verse that's out there but very good. The Duo boys blow this track out the water and definatly outshines Bizarre on this track. One of their weaker hooks but it definatly gets stuck in your head.

14. I Think Therefore I Am - This is the darkest track on the cd. A track I can definatly see fitting right in with the Night Vision cd. Yet this track fits perfectly on this cd making it a very well rounded disc. This was also my favorite track on the Devils Nite 09 free cd. James G drops one hell of a sick track here.

15. Ruthless ft Hopsin - I like the dark vibe this beat has. It bring out the overall feeling and vibe to this track. You want some sick horrorcore? Hopsin and Duo come together to bring you horror all up in that grill like a baseball bat to the dome. Duo shows they can do any kind of track they want too and do it the right way and better then most of what you hear these days. Hopsin meshes well with the Bankrupt boys and I would love to hear more tracks with eachother.

16. Make A Move - This track will definatly get you hyped and ready to throw down. Listening to this track will get you amped up and moving and ready for what ever comes. I can hear this as a ring entrance song for any fighter heading into the cage or to get those asses fighten in the moshpit. Enjoying the effects in the song and definatly a nasty hook that will get ya chanting along too it.

17. Holiday ft Big C - I love this track. It took a couple of spins for the hook to grow on me. Not the strongest hook done by Big C but the whole song together is one damn good track. Been getting lots of spins by me as of late. Nice summer and party track. Nice n smooth all the way through that will cetch ya singing along.

18. No Outro - Who the fuck needs an outro? Just blaze up and smoke one up and put this bitch continuous play and jam out all over again.

After having Night Vision in my hands for a while and being teased with the singles that were released for this cd, I was estatic finaly getting my hands on a copy of Double Vision and I was blown away. With all the big names they got on this cd and getting nothing but bangers for beats, Duo by far out did themselves and dropped the best release of 2010 so far. There is atleast one track on this cd that'll please everyone. Dark tracks, club tracks, smoking tracks, you just cant go wrong. This cd I've had on repeat for the past week and I still enjoy every track and love every beat. There are a couple things that took me a few listens too before it grew on me but I wouldnt change one thing aboot this cd. If you was to showcase some heavy hitters in the underground, this is the one cd that does exactly that.

Score - 9.5

Duo brings their second instalment to the "Vision trilogy" with Double Vision. With Night Vision bring us very personal, emotional and dark tracks. This cd takes you out of the darkness and brings you to a place that makes you want to party and move and introduced to some heavy hitters in the UnderGround. Duo not only shows you that they can hang with the big guys but also in a few cases outshine them and show that they're on the rise and not to be taken lightly. You want a cd that is filled with bangers and no filler, then this cd is yours. Bankrupt Records is showing you why they have a choke hold on the Underground Scene and not letting up. Do not sleep on this cd and definatly hit them up when they swing to a venue in your town.
