Album Notes
"a band on the verge of something big."
-pop culture press, 2004

an underground band regarded for their cult fanbase and prolific output, The Drown has accomplished much in a mere 2-year period. Their steady output of albums and e.ps make them a significant presence in the indie circles of zines, downloads and word of mouth. recently, they've been working with producer Mark Plati (The Cure: Bloodflowers, David Bowie: Earthling) in the East Village, and preparing a tour of Europe for 2006. for further info, refer to http://thedrown.com

"Vile Bodies" is a magnificent decent into the soul. An emotionally invoking track filled with skillfully crafted music and gut-wrentching vocals. A moving experience from beginning to end.

Absolutely amazing....
Vile Bodies instantly grabs you and embeds itself firmly in your mind. The vocals are slightly dark, but comforting and blend perfectly with backing vocals and the music itself. The Drown are like no one else, and Vile Bodies is no exception...absolutely divine.

Valerie Pehrson

A short, dark and handsome album
This EP is tantalizing. It has both depth and scope, considering its brevity: from the contemplative and delicately tender 'To Joycelyn' to the crunchily sleek 'Vile Bodies.' 'Object of Beauty' positively seethes with dark sensuality.
This album is a fantastic introduction to the impressive and dedicated talent that The Drown are on their way to becoming famous for.

The Drown will scratch that itch down in your soul
Vile Bodies is well on its way to becoming a classic must have for any music fan. Thank you CD baby for carring this title. I cant wait for their next one :)
