Album Notes
"The Stories We Could Tell" is Drop Dead Julio's second album and shows a real music maturity in the band. On this go around, DDJ experimented with piano, violin, a female singer, and even its' own fans in the studio. The band spent more than a year working on these new tracks and essentially put out a "rock" album instead of a more pop-punk direction like the previous CD, "Lack of Direction." Since DDJ formed in early 2006 the band has opened for national acts Unwritten Law and has received numerous spins on local rock radio station KBER 101 in Salt Lake City. The band has also been featured on X96 in SLC and KROQ in Los Angeles. City Weekly, Slug, and In Utah this Week magazines have all had positive comments about Drop Dead Julio's music. You can read press reviews on the band's website, www.sonicbids.com/dropdeadjulio and listen to the new album on www.myspace.com/dropdeadjulio
