Album Notes
Do you remember the first time you heard "Inta Da Stage" by Black Moon or "The Sun Rises In The East" by Jeru the Damaja? Enter "Dangerous Styles" from Danger|Zone. Raw HipHop is back and Danger|Zone is leading the new generation of rising artists. Slamming boom-bap beats from producer Amos Famous lay the perfect backdrop for the gritty and grimy stories and imagery from Emcee Bru Lei.

Simple concept.

Dope result.

Welcome, everybody, to the Dangerzone.

Born in 2005, Danger|Zone is the collaborative result of of a chance meeting between the emcee and producer while they were performing at the same show. A few beat cd’s and blunts later and the deal was sealed. The Columbus, OH duo have dropped a self-titled EP and rocked spots from the Midwest to the West coast. Recently relocated to Sacramento they have already set up shop in Northern California. Collectively, these two have rocked shows with some of the best, and with their debut full-length “Dangerous Styles” they set themselves up to be placed in that same category. For 17 tracks Danger|Zone takes you on a journey through Bright City Lights, Writers Block, Video Games and Addictions. With guest appearances from Dove Ink label mates Illogic (Addictions & Had It Made) & Ill Poetic (Had It Made), Npayshint (Seems Like), Dj Ginsu (Judge) and the one and only Marley Emcee, "Dangerous Styles" will soon take its place among the best hiphop albums of 2008. The album is available now from Dove Ink.

Danger|Zone reminds us of what we have strayed from far too long, hiphop in its purest form.

Danger Zone is like the new Gangtarr. Bru Lei destroys this entire album and Amos' beats are definitely banging!

Personal favorites are Ones that Smoke Blunts Witcha and Writers Block. But this is one of those rare front to back albums. The interludes are hilarious and there is never a dull moment.

I reccomend this for anyone looking for that next dope hiphop album.
