The outlook on life from the eyes, ears and pen of a woman. Although the songs fall into many different categories ranging from country to alternative folk and even spiritual, an unintentional theme of "life as a woman" developed.

Album Notes
My second album "Tattered" developed in a short three years. But in all reality encompasses 40 years of living as a woman.
In 2015 I released my first album "Simple Things: A Sweet Menagerie" which was a compilation of 10 years of writing. Money and time played a big roll in the slow release of the experiences I had written throughout my years as a mom, daughter, wife, divorcee and more. In 2015 I decided I wanted to write and release an album within 5 years. But this time I wanted my album to reflect my current views on life, the things that stung my soul and grabbed my attention, my energy. There was never an intentional theme for this album, however one did develop.
Most of my inspiration was found in the struggles we face as women in a world that expects perfection.. Raising three daughters has given me new perspective on what we subconsciously teach our girls because of what the world has shown us rather than the conscience decision to focus on the truths we were created in and for.
Reflection on the hurt the world creates through unrealistic expectations that we as women allow to permeate our souls and purpose can be felt on this album. The desire to be more, but finding peace with being and doing less at the same time is a constant juggling act. Its also a glimpse at finding yourself again after your kids are raised. Learning to move toward your dreams. No matter your age.
Tattered is a message to the people in my life who question my success as a musician.
Im not sure they will ever realize some flowers just choose to bloom where they are.
Sometimes you don't realize the beauty in where you are because you always have your eyes fixed upon something and somewhere else.
The underlying message in almost every song I write is find yourself. Find God. Find Peace.
Sometimes its just a release.
But every time its from the heart.
