From the first beat of JACKI you feel that you are going to be swept away into a story. Then you realize it’s the story of your own life evolving. The phrases that resonated so deeply that created a wire of electricity inside of me: “She takes it all in and makes it into her own” “ A warrior on the path to always” “Flys top speed” soft as the wind and soft as a cloud.” The expression of the emotional path of Jacki is my path. The balance of qualities was amazing. The music is beyond beautiful.

As I listened to NOT TOO TRASHY this is the conversation I have had with so many of my girlfriends. Aging women in cultures all over the world, in many languages will have this conversation. Carole is tapping into an important and emotional state of mind and she helps us find the humor in aging. We step out of ourselves and we are able to find the laughter as we get older.

When I listened to 123 I Love You, I realized that you should consider yourself lucky if you have one experience in a lifetime of what is being revealed in this song.

Testimonial from Cynthia MW Psychotherapist
In FunLove Folk Jazz I feel Carole Lynne’s presence, as if she is speaking to me and telling stories from unique perspectives. What I love most about this album are the numerous ways she uses her vocal sound, lyrics, guitar and flute to share the depth of many emotions. I never get bored: this album has jazz, blues, folk and soft rock. The lead guitar, drums and bass from Dan Fox elevates the experience.

“Love is Eternal” was one of my favorites. If I could ever listen to a very positive song about dying, this is it! I love the haunting sounds of the flute and 12 string guitar.

“123 I Love You” Carole’s unique jazz guitar and vocal sound take a common theme (falling in love) and draw me in, make me want to dance. She reminds me of feelings that are not always expressed about falling in love.

Testimonial from Margaret Kelner free lance editor, poet and tutor
Carole Lynne’s artistically rendered eclectic CD offers a range of genres and themes, and seamlessly merges instrumentation. Always her vibrant soprano carries the story to its sometimes surprising conclusion. “Mini Trance Vacation” a fanciful and playful story, reminds me of fairies dancing in the forest. “ Love Eternal” is evocative and treats aging and eventual dying in a loving and welcoming way. Listening one time is not enough. I want to listen many times and to each time discover a new subtlety.

Carole Lynne Comments on FunLove Folk Jazz

Composing this album was a fantastic experience. Each song tells a story that hopefully makes you laugh at yourself (or someone else) ~ encourages you to take a look at your life experience and “live it up” ~ transmutes fears into hopeful acceptance of aging, broken relationships and end of human life. FunLove Folk Jazz is “New Age Themes Minus the Waterfalls” because styles include folk, jazz, blues, soft rock and electronic. Hopefully this music wakes you up rather than puts you to sleep. Of course I have many soothing recordings that I listen to when I want to go to sleep and I am all for what I lovingly call “waterfall music,” but FunLove Folk Jazz brings me into smiles, contemplation and acceptance of life.
