Album Notes
You Don't Know was written pen and paper in hand at the piano. The inspiration for "You Don't Know" was centred around the many musicians, singer songwriters, creative people past and present whose dreams of fame, and fortune had slipped away, or had come and gone. The challenges of making ends meet, the reality facing the future with shattered dreams. This version is a remix. The original version can also be found on all digital downloads. You Dont know by Carol Black
This is an exquisite soul song written by south London songstress Carol Black. Its about the struggle of talented artists to get recognition for their art form in a world filled with noisy pop acts. Carol has been writing songs for many years and learned her craft as a backing vocalist having toured with the likes of Matt Bianco and other professional bands. Singing backing vocals properly is an extremely skilled job that requires good understanding of chords and harmonics. For that reason Carols songs have great depth to them. This latest offering is no exception. High quality British soul from a quality artist who richly deserves to be heard by a wider audience. Highly recommended listening!
