Album Notes
Cait La Dee's roots are deeply immersed in Hip-Hop. Inspired by the Breakdance and DJ communities of the Bay Area, Cait La Dee has created her own brand and identity. She sings with the conviction of a soloist in a gospel choir however, her walk and talk exudes rawness, creativity, and flavor. Her music production represents that style. Hard Hip-Hop beats lay the foundation for her tales of love lost and regained. "Take me home", the second cut on the album, is a heartfelt story about the angst of missing loved ones. The song was recently selected for use in a Procter and Gamble national advertising campaign entitled - "Nostalgia Dad". Dance with me‚ is an up-tempo ode to 70‚ funk that‚ reminiscent of classic Stevie Wonder.

Her influences range from the Queen of R&B, Aretha Franklin to
Joni Mitchell, Mc Lyte, Janis Joplin, Ella Fitzgerald, and Kim Burrell
to name a few. From a young age, Cait La Dee joined her family
recording children albums and performing street vaudeville throughout the US and Europe. She sang in professional choirs
while receiving classical training in piano, flute, bass and voice.
Cait La Dee started writing songs as soon as she could form sentences and, by the age of 12, was given the honor of directing the Telluride Jazz Festival.

Cait La Dee has thrilled such large crowds and stages as the Great American Music Hall (SF) and Shoreline Amphitheater (SF-Bay). By the age of 18, world renowned Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir had also recognized Cait La Dee's talent and had requested that she be a guest artist on their album. By early adulthood, there was no doubt in her mind what she was placed on this earth to do.

Cait La Dees album, includes ‚You bring me Joy‚ produced by Award winning super producer Mark Sparks. Sparks (Soulife music) has produced hits for Will Smith, Sunshine Anderson, Donell Jones, Mary J. Blige, and Boys II Men to name a few.

Cait La Dee looks to follow in the footsteps of other great Bay Area
legends like Carlos Santana, En Vogue, MC Hammer, Tupac Shakur, Tower of Power, Too Short, Tone, Toni, Tony, and more.

I love it!!! It just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover.
Beautiful voice. She has a unigue quality. I heard her on the Golden Scissor Awards. I didn't know who it was, but I waited for the credits to role to find out. It lead me to L4L then to Cait La Dee. I think she is a wonderful artist and I can't wait to hear more from her.

Gorgeous, lush, REAL heartful soulful stuff! Original, truthful, courageous work
The Beauty School Dropout CD by Cait La Dee is one of a kind.
A full spectrum of emotional expressions set it danceable, singable
atmospheres of great charm and originality. Tender, loose, heavy and light. Full of the inspired riffs and personal risks of a creative soul at work. The production values and the songs all jive well together. I can feel the collaborative joy that went into the making of this CD creation!
Cait La Dee has it goin' on....!!! What a voice! What harmonies!
I love the variety of rhythmic settings and instrumentation.
What a creative dynamo and teamed up with her producer, this CD totally gets my attention. I play it everyday since receiving it from CD Baby. It brings a tear to my eye and a smile to my face. Thanks Cait!

AWESOME CD--Cait LaDee is the BOMB!
I tracked down this artist after hearing the "Take Me Home (Family)" song in the Tide commercial--the song stayed in my head FOREVER. So after tracking down the artist and coming across CD BABY, I decided to buy the cd (which I generally have to hear at least a couple of songs from an artist before I buy their cd so I took a chance on this one. As soon as I recv'd it and put it in the player,.....OH MY GOD!!! The VERY 1ST SONG (intro) on the cd set the stage for the rest of the cd, and EVERY song that followed was EQUALLY enjoyable. My favorites are "Take Me Home (Family)", "A Young Girl's Love", and the Intro song--- I also love the rest, but these are just my favorites. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do yourself a favor and BUY THIS CD! I think Ms. LaDee's own lyrics sum up my own sentiments about this cd: "Recognize, better act like you know, cause the girl's got rhythm and the girl's got soul."

Awesome CD
I first heard the song Take Me Home (Family) on the Tide Commercial. I looked everywhere on line for it and could not find it. I finally found a website that gives you the artists names for Commercials. I then found the CD Baby websit and was thrilled that I could purchase this CD. I love the whole Cd. Hopefully one day you can come to the Orange County area and have a concert, if you have not already. I have told my family and friends about this CD. Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to the next CD.
