Album Notes
ABBRACCIARE: to hold (someone) closely in one's arms, especially as a sign of affection.
ALLEGRIA: 70's jazz fusion combines with classical folk influences in this dynamic samba which features two extended jazz flute solos.
FORZA: Force is any influence that causes an object to undergo a certain change. It also connotes images of strength, power, energy and intensity. Within this single movement work, the three flutist perform a variety of compositional techniques that carry an innate force and impetus to its inevitable exciting conclusion.
FERVENTE: Combines elements of jazz fusion, American folk and Flamenco. Composed to capture the anxiety parents face when taking their children on an airplane for the first time.
BARCELLONA: A world music composition with the influence of flamenco, Spanish folk music emitting an endearing friendship between special friends.
LA PIRATA: Pirates longing for the high seas is the central theme of this trio of exciting pirate songs.
FARANDULA: Literally, "to party with the intention of dancing."
SPAIN: A four movement work inspired by the folk music originating from south of the Iberian peninsula.
TANGO DE LOS FLAMENCOS: Spanish ornamentation, florid melodic lines and a unique blend of pop culture contribute to the musical style of this work.
SINCERITA: The passionate influence of the Flamenco School combines with American classical jazz to offer a rhythmically complex and dynamic composition.
CALIENTE: A highly energetic dance samba combining Latin rhythms and Spanish harmonies.

Brian Luce, "an authoritative soloist" praised for his "technical agility" and "lyric power," teaches at The University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music and is a member of the Arizona Wind Quintet. He has performed as a principal flutist for orchestras in Illinois, Texas, and Pennsylvania. He also performed with the Dallas Chamber Orchestra, Dallas Bach Society, Dallas Wind Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic, and Keystone Wind Ensemble. Brian performs chamber music and concertos in addition to presenting master classes worldwide. He is a prizewinner in the National Flute Association, Myrna Brown, Mid-South, and Kingsville International young artist competitions. His compositions, arrangements, and realizations are published by Editions BIM and lntegritylnk, and he has written for the Flutist Quarterly and Flute Talk Magazine. He has recorded for the Naxos, Albany, Toccata Classics, and Citadel labels. A Yamaha Artist, Brian has played Yamaha flutes exclusively since 1996.

Christopher Caliendo hailed "a wunderkind!" by LA Weekly. Composer, guitarist and publisher, his world music has been embraced world-wide finding equal resonance with film studios, philharmonics, chamber societies, the Vatican, the U.S. Military, virtuosi, political figures and celebrities. Christopher's music is performed and recorded by students and virtuosi alike and has been the subi·ect of doctoral dissertations. His sheet music catalog of world music for flute alone has more than 350 original compositions and arrangements made available as digital downloads. Keith Hannaleck of Gramophone Magazine has described Christopher as, " ... one fantastic guitar player ... simply masterful and as fluid as humanly possible.
