ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
James D. Howard also known as Bond the Livewire, was born in Dayton Ohio and has been there all his life. Raised in the 80’s with two sisters, and one brother times were hard being brought up with a single mom. Trouble soon found Bond and juvenile jail was the first of his encounters, being raised in the projects was hard and it seemed as if trouble found him. Bond dropped out of high school in the tenth grade, and resorted to the streets as a way of living. In and out of jail as an adult, Bond found himself to be living a criminal lifestyle following in the footsteps of his dad.
In 2003 Bond hooked up with some family and friends, and decided that making music would be something to do other than keep getting in trouble. They then formed a rap label (Dayton Boyz Music), and then started a rap group called Dayton Boyz. The group started out with six members, but a few members went to jail and it only ended up being four of them until the other two was released. In 2004 the group released their first album which was titled “The Beginning” and it seemed to get nice buzz going, but Bond seemed to be the main attraction from the group.
In 2004 after the group album was released, Bond decided to drop his first solo album since he had so much positive feedback as an artist. Around this time Bond and the Dayton Boyz were doing shows and traveling, moving around Ohio and even south to Atlanta promoting and networking. Around this time Bond was introduced to a website that helped independent artists get their music worldwide, and Bond’s solo “Live from Dayton” and the group album went worldwide on the internet. This was a good way to gain exposure and earn money, without doing so much traveling and footwork.
2005 came around and Bond was still on his music grind, being the C.E.O. of Dayton Boyz Music it was his duty to keep releasing music. After having group members that didn’t want to promote, and members in and out of jail Bond was determined to do music and make a change. Trouble was still around, but Bond fell back a lot and was getting into less trouble, and more music studio sessions every day. The Dayton Boyz then dropped their second album “Still on the Rise” and Dayton Boyz Music artist Nephew, dropped his first solo album “Serve E’m all.” These albums hit the internet but did not do as good as the first two projects, but that did not stop Bond he kept making music.
In 2006 Bond dropped his second solo album “Trapped” this album hit the internet hard, and was a major comeback from the last two albums. This album was rap/r&b album with the help of producer/singer Q, it was then that Bond knew that he had the gift out of all the other group members. This album has good sound quality, and Bond’s vocals had become better over the years. Reality music is what the people want to hear, so Bond’s music definitely gives the people what they want. The album was hot and still sales to this day worldwide, and was the best selling album from the indie label.
In 2009 after so many ups and downs, legal problems, group problems, financial problems, it seemed as if the group fell off or was forgotten about they came back after six albums. Dayton Boyz Music was not dead, they had to make a strong comeback some other group was trying to steal the Dayton Boyz name. Bond had to motivate the group to do something, so they collaborated and got an ad for Boss magazine and also shot a new video, and dropped the group album titled “Da Real Dayton Boyz.” This album basically let the world know that the group still existed, and that they were the real Dayton Boyz and not imposters.
2010 hit and after three years Bond dropped his third solo album, titled “True Story” which is based on a story of what Bond has been through. Keeping it real as always, this is another hardcore album released and guaranteed to do good on sales. Bond said that it will not be another three or four years before he drop, and said stuff goes on in the streets but now he is fully motivated and determined to do music. Bond currently has an ad in the Boss magazine, working on a music video, and working on a mix tape with D.J. Swift. Bond his also helping Sly, and Marv Carr, and Lavish Boy Gang, get their albums out. Be on the lookout for Bond in 2010, and when you look up Bond on the internet he said please do not confuse him with the singers, he is a hardcore rapper.
