Lockford

by Bill Mumy

A collection of original songs that look back lovingly on an American era long gone. With Rockabilly and classic rock n roll grooves as well as acoustic folk songs. The album curiously satisfies both the desire to reminisce and to look forward.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Bill Mumy embraces American music with a style rooted in folk rock that often takes risks and strays into quirky territory. His iconic status in the entertainment industry includes collaborations with such diverse artists as America, Devo, Rosemary Clooney, Shaun Cassidy, Wild Man Fisher, Weird Al Yankovic, John Stewart and Steve Perry. He is half of the legendary duo, "Barnes & Barnes", best known for their classic novelty hit, "Fish Heads". Mumy is also a third of Action Skulls along with Vicki Peterson of the Bangles and John Cowsill of The Cowsill's and the Beach Boys. His past group affiliations include The Jenerators and Redwood. Mumy is a multi-instrumentalist and his solo albums are largely just that, solo projects in the truest sense of the word. He has performed around the world on the stages of auditoriums, Sports Arena's and small clubs. Mumy is a prolific songwriter and his compositions resonate with truth.
