Undress Your Soul

by Belladonna & Pasquale Catalano

The fruit of the collaboration between Italian band Belladonna and film composer Pasquale Catalano. The music of cult TV series "Romanzo Criminale" here becomes a deeply sensual yet highly spiritual rock noir song.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Inspired by the main theme of the tv series "Romanzo Criminale”, "Undress Your Soul" is the new single by rock noir band Belladonna, here for the first time together with composer Pasquale Catalano, who wrote that cult tv series' musical score.

"In the wonderful music Pasquale Catalano wrote for 'Romanzo Criminale' we heard that special kind of romanticism, mystery and pathos that never fails to seduce us. So giving it a new guise with our melodies and lyrics was for us a true joy, and it was such an awesome honor when Pasquale told us he absolutely wanted to release the result of this fusion of our emotional, sensual and musical outputs" (Luana Caraffa, Belladonna's singer)

"I had never thought that the Libanese's theme could have become a song, and I was quite impressed when i heard Belladonna's first demo of 'Undress Your Soul'. Dani and Luana brought to light an hitherto hidden emotional aspect of that piece of music, unveiling my eternal passion for rock.” (Pasquale Catalano)

Belladonna are not new to this kind of collaborations, having worked in past with legendary British composer Michael Nyman in the Belladonna song "Let There Be Light", based on Nyman's theme from "the Piano" (the 1994 Academy-Award winning movie by Jane Campion) and where Nyman himself played piano on.
