ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
For over 18 years Aztlan Underground have been cultivating a grassroots audience across the world from Europe to Australia and, most importantly, this continent, from Canada to Venezuela. Performing with every socially important act from Rage Against the Machine, Manu Chao, Fermin Muguruza to Dead Prez. This has translated to a large and loyal worldwide underground following.

Creating a new sound that is still evolving with every album, AUG captures the psyche and transcends to all ethnic groups. Capturing a universal rhythm to convey their message of "self-determination and decolonization," they combine the ancient with the modern and the sacred with the profane. This is realized in the music by fusing the power of rock, world music, jazz, punk, with the roots of indigenous drums, flutes and rattles. This unique sound is the backdrop to the band's spirit and intentions.

Aztlan Underground shows are powerful, ethereal, and inspiring. Their spirit and magic will enthrall you.
