Album Notes
Anton Simon was born in Utrecht in The Netherlands on 12-21-1952 and started singing and playing guitar in a bluegrass band when he was a student. They also played folk music and songs from singer/songwriters like Tom Paxton or Ralph McTell. After his student years he stopped and raised a family. He and his wife got 9 children. One of them was an autistic daughter and Anton Simon started playing again for her. She was very musical and smiled when she liked a song or cried if she didn't like it. So he started to write his own songs with his daughter as a judge.

He has written over a hundred songs now, but only at the age of 53 he made his first cd. Anton Simon painted his own cover, for painting is also one of his passions.

He works with disabled people in his daily life and his music is part of that what gives them much pleasure. His songs are all about his life and things that really moved him. One of his daughters sings the backing vocals and a son is also accompanying him on the song "Lost". He ows many thanks to Peter Vrakking, who arranged all his songs and plays the additional instruments and he also appears to be a collegue at work.

Anton Simon plays finger-picking style guitar and has a warm voice that will give you a relaxed feeling, like being among friends.
