ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Visionary like Syd Barrett, heartrending like Daniel Johnston, romantic like Yann Tiersen.

Countless Ways For Pressing Flowers has been written, performed and home-produced by Andrea Liuzza, a 23 years old songwriter from Venice. He sang, played guitar, keyboard, drum machine, and then digital edited it all. The result are 9 psychedelic ballads, tender piano pieces, surreal sketches and heartrending songs.

This little CD has been voted between the Best Italian Indie Albums of 2007, won the Italian Indie contest and was called a "revelation". Several international videomakers released 9 videoclips for it, shown in an art exhibition. It has already found home in all Europe, U.S.A. and Asia and is hoping for you right now.

This album takes you into another world. With it's dark child-like lyrics and melodies. It takes you into a story about an imaginative boy who has grown up to be a man, but has never quite grown up. At least that's my interpretation of the album. It's a very-well constructed album in terms of aesthetic, length, and inclusion of the songs. And the production is minimal, yet crisp and very well done. It's a promising debut from a promising new artist.

A fresh voice
I hardly make any music purchases, but Liuzza's music is so rich, though, that I felt compelled to purchase a copy. There are traces of Platonic ideas and the French Symbolists in his work. I look forward to hearing more in the future!
