ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Altering Lights is a small group of creative people from all over the world and from all ages that stumbled onto the same path. Piet and Kjerstin have been playing together for years already, with Kjerstin playing the beautiful violin and Piet used his unique style on the guitar and vocals. Here began the melodies that later become the songs on this album. In 2015, Leonie came to live on Piet's farm and joined the group after about a year, to sing the harmonies and write the lyrics for a couple of the melodies that Piet had created. In 2016 Robert Pfeiffer came to help them record some songs in Norway and turned out to provide many colorful additions to the already creative songs with the help of his vast knowledge of music and instruments. Together it became the round, full sound that is audible on the tracks of their first album called "Road to Freedom". With the help of a good friend of Piet's named Frans we got the opportunity to record our CD in a small studio in Berlin, finally making Piet's dream of making his own CD come true.
