Album Notes
Adam Kurzfeld grew up in northern California, a child of creeks, redwoods, and oak hills. He began writing his own songs in his early teens. Over the years his music has evolved from diverse influences ranging from live folk music with friends and family, to Reggae on the River, to the Beatles, the blues, Motown, and much more.
Adam was fortunate to have many musical friends in his youth. At age 18 he started a band named The Voodoo Medicine Show. Two of the members from The VMS play on his new album "The Muse".
Adam's music is acoustic in nature, using live instrumentation. He loves the imperfections and vulnerability of sharing music in its raw form. Being a lover of dancing, as well as yoga and meditation, his music will inspire you to boogie down at times, and at other times be at ease and contemplate. He weaves sensuality into his songs because he feels it should be more freely spoken about and danced to.
Adam's hope is that his music is a source of upliftment and empowerment for those who choose to listen. Enjoy!
