Album Notes
Acid arrives with their self titled debut vinyl bursting out of the unknown with their stunning first single, “Dead”.

Producer/guitarist Bobby Kennedy (aka: Special K) had been adrift, splitting time between coasts and fine tuning his rock agility. He amassed a cache of somber stories and returned home to forge the impeccable new offering, Acid.

Acid is the embodiment of Kennedy’s musical journey that has taken him all over the world. From his punk days in NJ’s Chronic Sick to being a songwriter in Tom Hank’s Playtone stable he has collected syncs in Zoolander, Sex and the City, Law & Order to name a few. As a producer Bobby has done records for The Damned and Captain Sensible.

Having recorded Acid himself with the help of John Kleinman (Monster Magnet) on drums, Kennedy recruited Johnny Firestone (Bass), Stevie Nix (Guitar), and Joey Chyb (Drums) to round out the live situation. The pedigree of this unit is woven together with members collective stints in bands including: Atlantic/Pacific, Jets to Brazil, Neil Halstead, The Anderson Council, and The Loose Roosters.

As New Jersey’s legendary music paper, The Aquarian, put it: “Acid’s songs display a lethal, tongue-in-cheek style, a radical, compositional imagination, and musicians that never miss the mark. When aiming for the right feel…The cool, deep and driving opening track ‘Dead’ is a surefire hit.”
