Album Notes
Lou Leaves the Room started as an idea when my dog (Lou) kept leaving the room while I was playing the piano. I wrote a lot of little songs on my piano and Lou kept having to leave the room. My small band was born. Using a badly out of tune spinet, I pounded out song idea after song idea. After amassing a number of ideas I moved into a basement studio to attempt to translate these ideas into a recording.

Not being an audio engineer, recording was somewhat daunting. Many hours were spent trying to recreate the sound I loved so much on some of my favorite albums. After realizing that I probably wasn't going to be able to go quite that far, I settled for what has become "Songs from the basement."

With help from my producer, aka my sister, I was able to avoid becoming "too techno." Her words not mine. She also helped craft a lot of the beats on the album.

The other member of LLR, my brother-in-law, added all the guitar work since I have never been able to pick up that instrument.

This is my album created using a keyboard, computer and mic. I hope you enjoy it.
