ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Close the blinds, light some candles, pour something to sip on and listen to......In Flagrante Delicto

"You want something really different? An unanticipated whirlwind of delirium that defies pigeonholing in nine parts. Featuring 9 tracks of varying depth and purpose, our sorcery promises nothing to the dinner whores yet delivers the essential for those who have awakened." Our Newest Working and by Far the Re/Defining Artistic Element Of 1000 Young Revealed; "In Flagrante Delicto". Take your senses off the ordinary and the mind will follow.......

In a decisive step away from the comfortably familiar sonic bombast and cryptic vernacular exhibited by previous Works; “Agape e Katsika” (1992), “Blaspheme Often”(1992), “House of Saturn House of Mars” (1993), founders Khopesh Hahn and Otto Thoennes chose to reduce 1000 Young to its naturally occurring core dynamics. They began to experiment with the latent resonance and often subtle radiance of acoustic instrumentation and a redefined approach to the textural labyrinths of the duos signature vocal tapestry. In addition to these somewhat slight yet noticeable shifts in their conjoined musical expression, Thoennes and Hahn also made deliberate adjustments to the lyrical themes at play during the writing process of their latest Work “In Flagrante Delicto”, artfully describing the various permutations and incarnations experienced by the two men during their respective timelines as standalone Artists in league, subjectively and para-cosmically.

Among the nine pieces contained within their current Method, 1000 Young explore a desire for the particular brand of self-refinement attained through unflinching examinations of Intent, the beneficial disciplines of consensual isolation and the illuminations encountered therein, the Indulgent danger and ice cold sensuality of whip-thin winter Love and the ever appealing rendezvous by firelight in forests green with new arrivals and basement tenements alike, scorched beautifully black by centuries of elusive gypsy laughter.

Although only a Tool, “In Flagrante Delicto” entices and beckons the listener to venture within and without, deeper than they have ever Knowingly been before, on a journey towards An Awakening that, once Recognized and honestly pursued, Becomes the personal responsibility of All who are Capable of nurturing and maintaining the One Promise that True Sentience delivers.

As Always, We Cherish your Continued Interest In 1000 Young And Please Remember To Blaspheme Often.

Go Trashy.

Highly Recommended.
Now, this is how an Acoustic Rock album is done. The musicianship, songwriting, and production are great. Incorporating a blend of different styles throughout the album, it's a very consistent listen from start to finish. It combines subtle elements of Blues, Country, Rockabilly, and Acoustic Alternative Rock, and puts a darker, gloomier, gritter spin on it all, emerging forward with a unique sound. I highly recommend checking it out.
