Miles Ali

Miles Ali is a new Hip Hop artist with a truly unique sound and story. The 27 year old South Carolina native made his debut to the music world in the most unlikely fashion. The young Miles was living the life of hot boy. As a troublesome youth Hip Hop music had always been his passion. He grew up under the influence of his favorite artist like Pimp C , Nas, Lil Wayne, T.I. Boosie , Gucci Mane , Jeezy, and Wiz Khalifa. Using their lyrical mantras as soundtracks for his delinquency. Since a youngster Miles had been writing his own songs and winning rap battles at school. His style and delivery were odd and different. His Southern slurr ,choice of words , harmonic cadences and adlibs created a fresh southern style . He'd always dreamed to become a artist and labal owner.
He dropped out of high school with the agenda to make a career of his favorite sports of making music, peddling marijuana and executing armed robberies. His pipeline ambitions and life as a stick up kid came to an abrupt close when Miles was charged for a string of armed robberies . Never having been to prison before ; a notorious Southern Court dealt him a 10 year and 30 year sentence . Miles Ali found himself lost in the system and incarcerated at the largest and most dangerous prison in South Carolina State penitentiary; Lee Correctional Institution. Some years in and he was failing on appeals and using large amounts of marijuana and powder cocaine to deal with his volatile reality. He found refuge and an positive outlet in creating music on cell phones that had been smuggled into the prison. Reuniting with his love of making music he quit using cocaine and focused on using his gift to produce the most quality music he could make on a cell phone and studying business. He began putting money into self education ,his beats, production and formed his own company; an independent label, 'Droid Lyfe '. The name Having two meanings. One being an ode to futurism and the Android technology that allowed him to bring music to the world that may have otherwise been trapped and unheard.
In 2017 Miles Ali realeaed his first mixtape entitled 'Social Muzik ' which includes the 420 friendly single "Rite Now ", inwhich he affirms that everything is better when you're high. His lyrics are filled with the person Miles was in his hot boy lifestyle before prison, his experiences in the belly of the beast, and jewels for the youth from his new Self. He dubs his music "Corrupted Consciousness" . Explaining that his music is Black Conscious but yet unapologeticly rough around the edges and gritty because of the bad habits , rawness, pain and sheer rudeness. His rebellious lyrics carry an opposition to oppression and an ideology of Runnin Scams & Sellin Dope. All in one song Miles may encourage Black people using the "Underground " to gain the good life , affirm Black Awareness and , a fuck the police attitude , and definitely Heavy marijuana use . Miles Ali combined Southern Hip Hop , Scammers, Trap Music, Jackboys, Black Consciousness , and a unique style and delivery to create a totally unique and fresh sound. It's possible he's not even imprisoned but just sending earth music from a ghetto far far away..
Nonetheless, Miles is working constantly on new music and striving to be released on a pardon or resentencing. He welcomes letters of support in that effort while he prepares to release his second Mixtape to be entitled "Folorunsho Alakija ". Miles Ali's Mixtape Social Muzik and new singles are already available for stream or download on iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, YouTube, Google Play Music, Amazon music and all other major streaming venues.
