Welcome to the start of my collection of songs and lullabies!

The songs shared here are singer-songwriter style with a country-ish feeling and are about love, friendship, family, hope…
Some songs are what I like to think of as stories or, more accurately put, ‘melody-stories’ and some are based on a single moment — like a ‘music photo’ where an idea for a song came in a flash. For the most part, they have been works in progress for a long time — many of them years now — and bringing them to light has been a lesson in patience. During this time, I’ve carried these songs with me, recording ideas in snippets on my smartphone, and listening to them when a free moment emerged. Making music has meant singing while doing laundry, snatching twenty minutes to play guitar, and practicing songs in my head while I walk to and from places, my step, step, steps keeping the beat. However much free time there has or hasn’t been, I’ve relaxed, recharged, and renewed by having fun through music.

Music has always played a role in my life. I made up songs and sang to my family and guests as a child, sang in musicals and in a high school choir, in an acapella group in college, had voice lessons and explored songwriting and vocal performance for some years during my twenties…But it wasn’t until I became a parent that music became something I felt called to pursue more seriously.

Although I had decided earlier that singing and songwriting was impractical for me to pursue, I was pelted with ideas for songs when I became a mom — songs that I soon realized were lullabies. So, I began to sing again — and to a real, live audience: my baby. The meaning and importance that these songs had for me was unlike anything I’d ever experienced in music before. As my baby grew into a child, ideas for lullabies shifted into ideas for singer songwriter style songs and I’m revisiting songs from my earlier time in music now too. I am also learning to accompany myself on guitar, and although this is an incredibly busy time in my life of family, work, and volunteering, I am having a blast making music whenever a possible moment emerges.

Given my schedule — songs will be uploaded one by one as I am able to record them. There will be some pauses, but I’ll keep singing and writing and sharing, so I hope you’ll visit my site again and again.

I’m so very glad and grateful for the opportunity to share my ever growing love for music here in some small way with you, the listener. I hope you will enjoy these songs and lullabies and that the happiness I experience in making them will be shared with you as well.
