EVOLOVE: The all encompassing, ever-changing force that bonds us through love.

Evolove is an American rock band that formed in Los Angeles, CA. The band’s current members are Lucy Levinsohn (lead vocals), Billy Berman (bass), Dave Corsile (guitar), Colby Jensen (guitar) and Andrew Carrol (drums). Built on love, Evolove was the brainchild of Levinsohn and Berman in 2009 who performed previously together for years in other music collaborations.

Stapes of the growing rock scene that has been coming out of Los Angeles the last two years, Evolove has played top venues that include The House of Blues, The Roxy Theatre, Whiskey A Go Go, and Viper Room. Attracting fans with their lively shows, listeners have resonated with their heartfelt, powerful lyrics.

To date the band has released three studio albums with the fourth slated to be released later this year; 2012: Countdown to the End (EP), Breaking Heartstrings in (EP), Acoustic Sessions Vol. 1 (LP) and the band’s upcoming album, We Are The Warriors that will feature 12 tracks. The album is set to release mid-2015 with the first single “Warriors” slated for a Worldwide digital release on February 10. Produced by Mikey Doling (Channel Zero, Soulfly and Snot), it was mixed by Brian Virtue (Audioslave, 30 Seconds to Mars, Deftones), Gerald Jans (Channel Zero) and Gus Cyrns (Get Scared, The Acadamy Is). The music video to be released along with Warriors demonstrates what Evolove is all about—bringing people together through their music. Hundreds of fans submitted personalized photos, making this one of the band’s most unique videos.

Evolove's debut EP, 2012: Countdown to the End was released in October 2009. The EP gained critical acclaim with lauding it as "pop inspired guitar riffs (showing) personal yet direct lyrics (which) are what make this album a gem." With the EP, the band signed a music licensing agreement with MTV that gave them feature airplay on MTV shows Made, True Life and Teen Mom. The band signed to Planet LA records in 2009 and went on the “Abolitionist Tour” with that label to SXSW but the relationship was short-lived and the band departed ways with the label.

In the summer of 2010, a chance audition led Evolove to their first glimpse of the public spotlight. The band were finalists of the national band search which earned them a top spot in the semi-finals and a starring role in a national commercial that made its debut during the MLB All-Star game, viewed by over 12 million. The commercial aired in heavy rotation for the month that followed on several national networks and spotlighted by MTV News.

It was during this same time period that the band placed their songs, ”Let Me In,” “Lie to me” and “2012” on the hit ABC Family drama Pretty Little Liars. These events helped gain fans both nationally and internationally with digital downloads on sites including, Cdbaby and iTunes (USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, Europe). The band was a featured artist on Hot Topic’s “Shop ‘til you Drop Tour” which resulted in a distribution deal and a local tour at various Hot Topic locations across the West Coast.

Breaking Heartstrings, the second EP, was produced by Michael Eisenstein (Letters To Cleo, The Posies) and released in August 2011. The band collaborated with Swedish audiovisual phenom Iggi Oggard and turned heads with a quirky video for “Wake Up Call” that debuted on Hot Topic’s YouTube channel. After the release of this EP, the band began touring extensively nationally starting with “The Breaking Heartstring’s Tour” with fellow LA bands Stitched Up Heart and followed by the “Reinforcement Tour” with Gemini Syndrome. Always finding ways to stay connected to their fans, the band fundraised through the site Kickstarter. Backed by a loyal fan base, fan funding has become a primary source of a majority of Evolove’s endeavors.

In early 2012 the band took to the road again for the “Awake The State Tour” with Blameshift. Covering a lot of ground in just a couple short weeks, the band came home itching to record. This led to the band’s first self-produced acoustic album simply called, Evolove Acoustic Sessions Vol. 1. The album was recorded in response to years of requests by fans.

After revealing that Lucy and Billy were to be having their first child at the end of the year, the band took advantage of this time to rediscover the constant theme that had been behind every success—their love for music. The band spent 2012 in Los Angeles writing what was to become “We Are The Warriors.” The band wrote furiously during this time period and created more music in that one year than in the three years that had proceeded.
With perfect timing, in early 2013 the band was approached by producer Mikey Doling to record a full album. Already fans of his work, the band jumped at the opportunity. The album was recorded in 2 ½ weeks, making it an all time record for Evolove. We Are The Warriors marks a new chapter for Evolove. Levinsohn calls this album “a new level of maturity for the band” and said, “I feel that the band has really come into its own with this album, I’m excited to see where our music can take us.
